This heritage building in Wan Chai was once the Wan Chai Post Office. Now, aligned with Hong Kong's 2050 carbon neutrality goal, it educates the public about sustainable living. Know Carbon House and our program Carbon Revolution in China share this mission. Today, we're meeting an old friend to continue our carbon reduction journey.
Hi! Big Waster! Remember the carbon challenge you gave me?
Of course! Upcycling an old sweater into something new - the ultimate eco-makeover!

My sweater's been with me 3-4 years - outdated and shrunken. I nearly discarded it, but then I discovered the Garment-to-Garment Recycle System. Now, I'm giving it new life.
After two months, my recycled sweater is finally ready!
Hi Ryan! I'm here to collect my transformed sweater.

Hi Iris! Your old sweater has been reborn. It's ready for its second chapter.

It's unrecognizable from the original! Ryan, what magic transforms an old sweater like this?
Ryan Wong
The process is straightforward but revolutionary. First, we disinfect each garment. Then, we break it down to fibers and spin new yarn. Our 3D knitting machines craft this into brand-new sweaters.
But we're doing more than recycling fabric. We're planting seeds of environmental consciousness. When children receive these upcycled garments, they learn sustainable values that grow with them. This creates lasting impact - transforming not just clothes, but mindsets across society.
Ryan's words struck a chord. Through Carbon Revolution in China, we spotlight mainland and Hong Kong's progress toward dual carbon goals. Together, we're weaving a greener future - one thread at a time.
