Hangzhou’s airport has opened East China’s first dedicated pet waiting lounge, offering separate zones for cats and dogs, along with individual waiting spaces for each animal. The lounge provides pet food, toys, grooming, and short-stay care, as well as staffed supervision and play services in case of delays.

The airport links the lounge to a one-stop pet air service via an app, allowing owners to book pet tickets, arrange dedicated pickup, and handle quarantine paperwork. Previously, owners managing solo pet travel needed to arrive about four hours early; the new service is designed to reduce that lead time.

For pet owners flying through Hangzhou, the new lounge formalizes a more convenient and pet-friendly preflight experience.
