[China Thrills] Mohe Lights Up Winter Nights with Festive Activities
: :

China’s northernmost city of Mohe is lighting up its winter nights with skiing, dancing and glowing snow sculptures, drawing visitors to its far-northern wonderland. As evening falls, Beiji Village comes alive under colourful lights that illuminate ice and snow creations, while tourists gather in the square to dance and film fireworks.

Nighttime temperatures have dropped to around minus 30 degrees Celsius, but the chill has done little to deter visitors. “Even though it’s minus 30 degrees Celsius, everyone is dancing with greater enthusiasm, and it is warm. There are so many fun activities here,” said visitor Qin Xue.

To cater to growing interest in winter sports, local resorts have launched night skiing for the first time this year, adding new slopes to extend the thrill after sunset. Indoors, live band performances give travellers a warm place to unwind, rounding out Mohe’s expanding menu of nighttime attractions.
