In southwest China’s Chongqing Municipality, a dazzling drone and light show brought traditional culture to life through cutting-edge technology. The “New Rhyme Chongqing” performance used the river as a curtain and lasers as a brush, creating an immersive spectacle. A standout moment, “Flowers Blooming for Prosperity”, featured a flower unfurling in the night sky, joined by a shimmering butterfly, blending classic Eastern beauty with dynamic light.

The three-dimensional “water, land and air” show expanded visual layers and narrative space, with traditional Chinese themes proving particularly popular among younger audiences. Colour and design were carefully crafted, turning motifs like “butterfly lovers” and “gourd of treasure” into interactive, shareable experiences.

“I think that in fact, every picture…makes me feel both shocked and moved,” said local resident Feng. Visitors from the UK and Spain also praised the show, calling it “fantastic” and “beautiful”, reflecting Chongqing’s blend of heritage and modern wonder.
