Hong Kong's vibrant arts scene is gearing up for the 2025 Chinese Culture Festival, a dazzling celebration running from June through September. The festival opens with a showstopper - the groundbreaking dance drama Dongpo: Life in Poems on June 13-14, which masterfully blends contemporary movement with traditional poetry, calligraphy, guqin music and seal carving to bring Song Dynasty literary legend Su Dongpo to life.  

Beyond this spectacular opener, the festival promises an exciting array of cultural treasures. The acclaimed Chinese Opera Festival will present its finest selections, while innovative cross-disciplinary performances will push artistic boundaries. Film buffs can enjoy special screenings, and art enthusiasts will discover thought-provoking exhibitions. The program also includes intimate workshops and talks offering rare insights from master artists.  

"This year's festival breaks new ground in cultural exchange," says curator Li Wen, noting the participation of award-winning artists from across China and international collaborators.
