As the 15th National Games gear up for Nov. 9–21 across Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macau, Enping is staking its claim on two wheels. The county will host the mountain bike cross-country event at Quanlinhuangjin Town, where organisers have built a 4.3-km course to international standards.

Riders will face a proper test: steep climbs, tight switchbacks and gravel sections designed to show off the region’s rugged Lingnan terrain and demand top technical skill. It’s the kind of route that separates pace from poise.

More than a challenge for athletes, the forested setting—Enping’s tree cover tops 50%—promises scenery as well. Bamboo groves, tumbling streams and drifting mist should make the race a visual treat for spectators and a memorable backdrop for the Games.
