The world’s largest indoor ski centre has officially opened in Shenzhen, South China, bringing year-round snow sports to a city better known for its tropical climate.
Spanning around 100,000 square metres, the size of 11 football fields, the Shenzhen Huafa Qianhai Ice and Snow World has been recognised by the Guinness World Records as the biggest facility of its kind worldwide. The complex features five ski runs, including a 450-metre slope and an 83-metre-high ski jump, with two slopes certified by the International Ski Federation for professional competitions.
Equipped with cable cars and conveyor belts, the venue offers an unparalleled skiing experience for both beginners and professionals. More than just a sports destination, the project is expected to boost tourism and drive economic growth across the Greater Bay Area, attracting visitors from near and far.
With its record-breaking scale and world-class design, Shenzhen’s new snow resort is redefining winter sports in southern China.
