A medical drone carrying blood products completed its first delivery for the Guangzhou zone of the 15th National Games, flying 20km in 12 minutes, about three times faster than ground transport and opening an aerial lifeline for emergency supplies. The drone can climb to 600m and operate in moderate rain and winds up to force seven, helping keep medical routes reliable even in difficult weather.

Venue lighting has been upgraded across multiple sites. Guangzhou’s Tianhe Sports Center now meets world-class standards, with lighting uniformity above 0.9 and shadow density below 90 percent. Anti-glare measures, light-pollution controls, show lighting, smart management systems and energy-saving technologies are all in use to protect athlete performance and improve the broadcast and spectator experience.

Together, these advances put technology at the core of the Games, strengthening safety and emergency response while turning competitions into a smarter, more dazzling citywide celebration.
