The 32nd Garden Expo has opened in Guangzhou, transforming the city's iconic landmarks—Flower City Square, Linjiang Avenue, Haixinsha, and Ersha Island—into a vibrant floral showcase.
The expo features 38 uniquely designed exhibition gardens. On Ersha Island, coastal plants and artfully arranged flower borders create dynamic, flowing landscapes that require minimal maintenance. A highlight is the Light of Life exhibition, featuring glow-in-the-dark plants that provide both educational insights and a captivating nighttime experience.
The Haixinsha Garden draws inspiration from Lingnan’s characteristic arcades and lattice windows, illustrating the concept of “green views at every window.” It also includes an edible garden with mint, rosemary, perilla, and fragrant lemon trees, promoting wellness through gardening. Landscape experts note that such edible gardens can thrive on balconies and rooftops, bringing both beauty and freshness to urban living.
