The Cambodia Tourism Board (CTB) has launched the Location Scouting Program, a new initiative aimed at strengthening collaboration with international partners, including China, while supporting broader creative industry exchange and tourism growth.
The programme is designed to welcome international film, television, documentary and commercial productions, giving creative teams the opportunity to experience and explore Cambodia’s diverse filming potential first-hand.
It will support visiting producers, directors and location managers for up to five days of on-ground expenses, including accommodation, transport, guides, permits, and entry fees to national parks and heritage sites, making Cambodia a more accessible and cost-effective filming destination.
Mr Kim Minea, CEO of CTB, said: “Film is one of the most powerful tools for destination marketing, national branding, and tourism growth.”
By opening its doors to global productions, Cambodia aims to showcase its rich landscapes and heritage while creating new opportunities for local talent and industries.
