The iconic Hong Kong Sevens is making a thrilling comeback next year, taking centre stage at the brand-new Kai Tak Stadium from April 17 to 19. The upgraded venue, which can now welcome 10,000 more fans, will host the first event of the newly revamped World Rugby SVNS Championship series, raising the city’s profile on the global rugby stage.

Over three electrifying days, fans can expect world-class action as 12 elite men’s and women’s teams battle it out. Eight rugby giants – including New Zealand, Australia, France, Britain, and Fiji – are already confirmed, while the remaining four slots will go to winners of the fast-approaching Challenge Series.

Hong Kong’s own team still has everything to play for. Their journey continues in the Asian Sevens Series, where a strong showing could secure a place in the Challenge Series in early 2026. Victory there would see them earn a coveted spot alongside the world’s best, right here at Kai Tak, making next year’s Sevens a truly unforgettable homecoming.
