Step into a world of gaming nostalgia at “Restart! Beyond Gaming Exhibition”, now open at the GATE33 Gallery at AIRSIDE. Celebrating Hong Kong’s vibrant gaming history, the free exhibition runs until November 9, 2025, inviting visitors to relive arcade thrills, cartridge classics, and the artistry behind games that have shaped generations.

Across six immersive zones, visitors can explore classic consoles like the Atari 2600 and a Hong Kong-modified Famicom, browse over 300 Nintendo games from the ’80s and ’90s, and revisit beloved titles such as a remake of “Little Fighter 2” featuring a special Kowloon Walled City stage made just for the exhibition!

Interactive installations also bring visitors directly into play. The video game “Rigid Body” digitises each visitor as they enter, projecting them into a game world alongside others who have been scanned! Combined with rare consoles, repair tools, and multimedia artworks, the exhibition captures both the creativity and the collective memories that have long defined Hong Kong’s gaming culture.
