In conjunction with China’s upcoming 76th National Day, 15 beautifully crafted miniature artworks showcasing the richness of Chinese culture, history, and landmarks await all arts and culture buffs!
Visitors can stroll through a mini but exquisite version of the Great Wall of China, complete with animated installations that immerse viewers in the epic battle atmosphere surrounding this iconic landmark.
Also on display is Hong Kong’s century-old intangible cultural heritage, the Piu Sik Parade from Cheung Chau Island. Originally, the Piu Sik (or “floating colour”) parade featured stilt figures inspired by folklore, “floating” around the island to ward off evil spirits. Today, it has evolved to include contemporary themes. In the exhibition, you’ll see child figurines on tiny stilts dressed as modern renowned characters, such as Nezha from the Chinese animated hit film.
You’ll also find elegant figurines dressed in graceful qipaos (traditional Chinese dresses), set against the backdrop of the historic Po Pan Teahouse in Hong Kong.
Four of the 15 miniatures blend meticulous craftsmanship with AI, mechanical engineering, animation, and even misting and lighting effects for an immersive experience. If you revel in history, heritage, and all things tiny, this exhibition is a must-see!
