Hong Kong’s rich intangible cultural heritage (ICH) traditions will take centre stage once again as the Leisure and Cultural Services Department launches the second edition of Hong Kong ICH Month under the theme “ICH Around Town”. The highlight programme, “The Hong Kong Jockey Club Series: ICH Highlight Tours”, opens for registration on May 15 and offers free guided experiences across eight districts.

Expanding from last year’s popular edition, the programme will feature 40 field trips covering nine themed routes. In addition to returning tours in Islands District and Yau Tsim Mong District, new routes will debut in Wan Chai, Kowloon City, Kwai Tsing, North, Sai Kung and Sham Shui Po districts. Participants will have the opportunity to meet ICH practitioners and learn about their crafts, traditions and stories firsthand.

Registration will run from 10:30am on May 15 to 6:30pm on May 16 via the Intangible Cultural Heritage Office website, with successful applicants notified by May 26.
