Over 130 cutting-edge technologies are powering the 15th National Games, which opened on 9 November, bringing an unprecedented fusion of sport and innovation to audiences nationwide.

Among the highlights was a 174-metre-long digital scroll at the opening ceremony in Guangzhou’s Guangdong Olympic Sports Centre. Entirely generated by AI models using Shenzhen Shenyuan Artificial Intelligence’s MasterAgent technology, the scroll depicted cityscapes of the host cities in stunning detail. “We generated more than 2,000 AI agents for data integration,” said Mi Xue’er, the project manager, adding that some analysed historical data of the Lingnan region while others studied famous artworks to refine the style and composition.

Another breakthrough came from Yaolong Intelligent Technology in Foshan, which developed a central control platform that integrates several systems of a venue into a one operator solution. “By setting the control mode for the entire venue, we solved the problems of multi-system coordination,” said company president Dai Tianlan, underscoring the seamless synergy of sport and smart technology.
