[Inno & Tech] AI Bionic Hand Helps Amputees Regain Independence
: :

Shanghai OYMotion Technologies Co., Ltd. Spokesperson:

This bionic hand uses sensors to capture bioelectric signals from the user’s hand. These signals are then translated into control commands for the device, allowing people with upper-limb amputations to perform everyday actions such as grasping and lifting objects. In this way, the device helps restore some of the hand’s lost functions.

The device offers three modes: assistive power, passive training, and remote control. Its key feature is the assistive power mode. By using sensors to detect bioelectric signals from the user’s hand, the system converts these signals into movement commands, enabling the user to grasp and manipulate objects. We also have a smart wheelchair product. It integrates a robotic arm and a robotic hand, which are mounted directly onto the wheelchair.

A major feature of the system is its built-in AI capability. The system is able to learn over time, and using a camera, it can recognise objects placed on a table. For example, when it detects water or other liquids, it can identify them as liquid substances. It can then pick up the water and assist the user in drinking.

Many of our products are already in practical, real-world use. A number of them are being used in hospitals. We also work closely with special education schools.
