[Tech Trends] Gadgets on Parade:Guangzhou’s Science Popularization Carnival Kicks Off
: :

The 8th Guangzhou Science Popularization Carnival recently opened, filling eight curated zones with self-driving cars, advanced drones, robots and robot dogs. About 8,000 people entered and many queued up to try the hands-on attractions and immersive experiences.

The most popular spot is the 15th National Games themed science area, where visitors test an "AI sports testing column + jump rope" setup and practice ping-pong with a super ball serving machine. The machine has a patent to prevent jams and is pitched at beginners and stronger amateur players alike.

High-tech highlights include a 3D smart body-test mirror that scans you and in one minute produces 128 body health metrics, and a handheld medical gamma camera. Once a bulky, two-ton device that filled half a room, the new model weighs about 800 grams and can be used at the operating table.

From sports to medicine to education and culture, technology is showing up everywhere and making everyday life a little easier and a lot more fun.
