A technology company in Guangzhou has partnered with the renowned Xinghai Conservatory of Music on an AI-driven music technology initiative, encompassing joint talent development, collaborative research and development, and industry advancement.
AI music technology has developed rapidly in recent years. However, the shortage of high-quality professional music data and the lack of standardized evaluation systems have emerged as major bottlenecks to industry growth, while also posing new challenges to traditional music education. Last year, Xinghai Conservatory established China's first School of Music Technology. The school plans to launch a series of lectures and courses on AI music, promote university-industry collaborative curricula, establish student internship and practice bases, and drive the deep integration of cutting-edge AI music technologies with higher music education.
The technology company has also unveiled its cooperation plan, which includes leveraging its technological expertise alongside the conservatory's academic strengths to develop an evaluation system for AI-generated music that better aligns with public musical preferences. At the same time, the company will provide feedback on industry needs to the conservatory, working together to cultivate innovative music technology talent tailored to the sector's evolving demands.
