This is my first time that I’ve been to Nansha. Nansha has developed rapidly in the past two decades. It is evident that Nansha is a symbolic representation of China's overall advancement.

In the past, our company had limited exports to China. We aim to utilize Hong Kong as an entry point to get direct access to Nansha to expand our market reach. This visit serves as a preliminary exploration to facilitate this goal.

A group of Japanese business representatives and Japan's Nagasaki Prefecture Trading Corporation embarked on a visit from Hong Kong West Kowloon Station to Nansha by high-speed rail. The delegates wanted to explore opportunities and leverage the strengths of Hong Kong and Nansha to reach out the Chinese market. During the visit, the delegation gained insights into the operations of duty-free warehouse and delved into Nansha's favorable policies for investors. One notable policy was Nansha's "double 15%" tax incentive, by which qualified multinational companies in Nansha would benefit from a corporate income tax and personal income tax rate capped at 15%, resembling the tax rates in Hong Kong.

Nansha is located at the heart of the Greater Bay Area, close to Hong Kong and Macau. We should look into the ways to leverage this advantageous position.

Our sesame oil is mild and relatively light in flavor but it is not yet known by people in Guangzhou and Nansha. Our initial step is to introduce the unique qualities of our products and generate awareness in the local market. We are glad to get to know more about Nansha. Our export base has located in Shanghai. When visiting Nansha this time, we came to know its favorable geographical environment and policies. We wish to seize the opportunity and utilize these favourable conditions for our future business.

Raymond Yip / Chief Liaison Officer, Guangzhou Nansha Service Centre in Hong Kong

To address the issue of lack of awareness, it is crucial for both parties to enhance mutual understanding. Foreign companies should get to know more about the advantages offered by Nansha while Nansha has to meet the needs of foreign investors. As the Chief Liaison Officer of Nansha, I will perform my role as a super connector to the best. They may not open a branch office in all nine cities of the Greater Bay Area. If they decide to register their company in one place, Nansha stands out as the ideal choice, given its advantageous location and excellent accessibility to the entire Greater Bay Area.

The visit was organized by the Greater Bay Area Medical Professional Development Association, which aims to serve as a bridge, introducing opportunities in the Greater Bay Area to foreign countries and investors.

The Japanese delegates recognize the immense market potential within the Greater Bay Area which has apopulation of over 80 million. Establishing a company in Hong Kong is essential for getting access to favourable policies and development opportunities in Nansha. Embracing a fresh mindset is crucial to harness the vast market potential. Hong Kong should continue to actively play its professional role in attracting more investors in the development of the Greater Bay Area.

There are numerous connections between Hong Kong and foreign capital, particularly in industries such as healthcare, professional services, and other business sectors. The collaboration of Hong Kong and foreign companies would open up a vast opportunity for development in Nansha. It’s a promising direction that Hong Kong should explore.
