The 139th Canton Fair is underway in Guangzhou, reinforcing its role as a cornerstone of global trade while showcasing China’s growing strength in advanced manufacturing. Running from 15 April to 5 May, the event spans 1.55 million square metres and brings together more than 32,000 exhibitors, including nearly 3,900 first-time participants.

The opening phase highlights industrial automation, smart equipment, new energy vehicles and green technologies, alongside established sectors such as machinery, electronics and home appliances, reflecting a clear move up the value chain. Across the fair, eight new themed zones spotlight smart living, low-carbon solutions and design-led innovation.

A year-round online platform continues to connect buyers and suppliers beyond the exhibition halls. With strong travel bookings and rising logistics demand, Guangzhou is positioning itself as a resilient, one-stop hub for global sourcing in an evolving trade landscape.
