Renat Davidov from Belaseptika:
Because there are some herbs which we grow in our country, with different climate, colder weather, and different soil, we can plant something which China does not plant.
Traditional Chinese medicine, an ancient gem of Chinese civilization, has recently sparked a cross-cultural collaboration between the East and Belarus in Eastern Europe. Renat Davidov from Belaseptika, a Belarusian company that produces herbal extracts alongside antiseptics and hygienic products, believes that this partnership can lead to exciting possibilities.
Renat Davidov from Belaseptika:
And I think combinations of Chinese herbs and our herbs can bring us new products. Very interesting products with new properties. And also we produce bile powder. Bile is used in China very well. It's not herb but it's of natural origin. But again there is a big demand in China and bile was used in China for many, many years.
Belarus is expecting an uptick in traditional Chinese medicine. The country has established a traditional Chinese medicine center in every regional hub. The Belarus-China cooperation in healthcare may foster innovative breakthroughs, paving the way for an enhanced well-being of humankind.
This is in line with the globalization of traditional Chinese medicine, emphasised at a key forum lately – the 2025 Hong Kong International Traditional Chinese Medicine Congress. It was also announced during the congress that the registration process for traditional Chinese medicine products in Belarus will be streamlined, enabling a fast-track approach for relevant companies looking to expand their global footprint in the country.
