Paris’ Champs-Élysées came alive recently for a spectacular Spring Festival parade celebrating the Chinese Year of the Horse. Traditional dragon and lion dances performances and vibrant Chinese costumes filled the street with festive energy. Around 100,000 spectators lined the avenue, capturing every moment on their phones.
Phillip / French Performer (Parade):
“Each place in China has its traditional attire. These are traditional clothing from Guizhou. My wife is also in the parade. I take part in the event because I often go to China and like the country very much.”
Marie / Tourist:
“We came just for the afternoon, just to see that. And it was wonderful because we get to see parts of, every bit of Chinese culture, and little bits of everything. So, it was really nice.”
A humanoid robot led the parade, waving and moving in time with the music. Its playful presence added a futuristic twist to the traditional celebrations.
Marc-Antoine Jamet / Chairman of the Champs-Elysees Committee:
“And that's clear that we want to have more people, more tourists to Champs-Elysees. We are very pleased to welcome our Chinese friends. There are many Chinese investments on the avenue. Please, if you want to go, don't hesitate. Take a plane, come to Paris, and we will be very happy to see you on the Champs-Elysees.”
