Hong Kong has won the hosting rights for the UCI Track Cycling World Cup in both 2026 and 2027, solidifying its reputation as a world-class hub for international sport. The Hong Kong Velodrome in Tseung Kwan O will welcome the globe’s top cyclists from April 17–19, 2026, and again from April 23–25, 2027.
The 2027 edition will be especially significant, serving as an official qualifying event for the Los Angeles Olympic Games – giving Hong Kong’s riders a valuable home-ground advantage. It will also mark the fourth and fifth time the city has staged the World Cup, a testament to its growing stature on the cycling calendar.
Leung Hung-tak, Chairman of the Cycling Association of Hong Kong, China, noted that hosting world-class events not only elevates Hong Kong’s international image but also draws visitors from around the globe.
With two consecutive editions on the horizon, Hong Kong is once again proving itself a premier stage for elite cycling and a vibrant destination for global sport!
