[HK Thrills] SPCA Announces Dogathon 2026 Charity Walk and Pet Festival

The Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (Hong Kong) has announced Dogathon 2026, its annual charity walk and pet festival, set to take place on 1 March at Hong Kong Disneyland Resort.

The event is expected to draw more than 3,000 participants and their dogs, bringing together pet lovers to support animal welfare. Proceeds will help fund the SPCA’s rescue, medical and rehoming services for over 4,000 animals each year, with the organisation relying largely on public donations to sustain its work.

The day begins with a 5-kilometre charity walk starting at 8:30am, following a route around the Disneyland Resort area before returning to the Coach Park. A pet festival will follow from 9:30am to 2:00pm, featuring a charity market, pet-friendly activities and photo opportunities.

In a notable move for inclusivity, up to 1,200 dogs will be allowed on most major MTR lines during the event, marking a first for Hong Kong’s rail network.
