China’s first mass-production base for unmanned, intelligent yachts has begun production in the Tonglu Economic Development Zone in Zhejiang Province, eastern China. The facility also unveiled its 2026 models as production began.
The new yachts feature multimodal environmental perception and obstacle-avoidance systems, an immersive human–machine interaction cockpit, and a long-range new-energy propulsion package. Designers say the boats are suitable for a range of uses, from sightseeing cruises and intelligent boat handling to water-shuttle services.
The factory will operate multiple production lines for 5-, 6-, and 7-metre models and aims to reach an annual capacity of about 1,000 yachts in 2026. Planners say the site will expand to cover a wider range of smart-yacht types and unmanned logistics vessels, creating a production base intended to speed the commercial rollout of autonomous watercraft.
