This year, the new-type display industry became Guangdong Province’s 10th trillion-level industrial cluster. As a national innovation platform and a key hub for this industry, Guangzhou’s Huangpu District offers a robust industrial chain and strong policy support, creating an ideal environment for business growth.
One standout achievement is AR near-eye display technology. A Huangpu-based company in the new-type display sector recently launched its latest smart glasses. Featuring an ultra-thin 1.5 mm optical waveguide module, the glasses achieve over 90% light transmittance, delivering a viewing experience comparable to that of an 87-inch screen. Powered by the company’s proprietary AI model, they support real-time translation across 30 languages, AI-powered prompts, and automatic meeting minutes. The company continues to optimize optical performance—such as brightness and uniformity—to enhance the user experience.
These glasses fill a gap in Guangzhou’s high-end near-eye display market, driving industrial chain upgrades through technological innovation. With ongoing improvements to the new-type display industrial chain, Huangpu District is injecting strong momentum into Guangzhou’s ambition of becoming a globally competitive “World Display Capital.”
